Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 by Anna Deavere Smith - Antioch Township Center

Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992,  a documentary play by Anna Deavere Smith (American playwright, actress, and professor) produced by Mosaic Players, will be performed at the Antioch Township Center on October 8th and 9th at 2:00 pm. 

Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 was originally performed and conceived by Anna Deavere Smith as a one-woman show.  The play is about the 1992 Los Angeles riots that followed the acquittal of the four police officers involved in the beating of Rodney King.  Mosaic Players' production, directed by Rebecca Zellar, is performed by four actors - Renee Johnson, Gary Luz, Allison Fradkin, and Chris Riter - playing multiple real people who connected directly or indirectly to the riots. 

Daniel Esquivel is the set designer and Daniel Melendez is the sound designer for the traveling production.  Bonnie Hart is stage managing and Jeanna Daebelliehn is Assistant Stage Manager.  

Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 will be indoors at the Antioch Township center located at 1625 Deep Lake Road in Lake Villa, and will begin at 2:00 p.m. The ticket price is $20.00.
